Why Afore

(pronounced Ah-four)

We built Afore to help employers and employees make the grass greener where they are—to find happiness, purpose, motivation, and growth inside their workplaces, not somewhere else.

Employees can use our tool to grow into the best versions of themselves at work. Afore helps them build a path toward professional development with lower stress, increased happiness, and positive wellbeing.

Organizations can use Afore to help their employees sustain productivity, maintain a stable state of mind, build confidence, and make sound decisions. As a result, employers get insights and early warnings into attrition, team dynamics and thought process.

The disconnect

The idea for Afore grew from Tony Marinelli and Craig Stanton, supported by a cross sectional team of organizational leaders, HR practitioners, behavioural phycologists, data scientists and technologists.

We learned that most organizations struggle to anticipate employee needs because they rely on traditional HR methods that are reactive rather than proactive.  Many organizations wait until an employee expresses dissatisfaction or leaves the company before taking action to address the problem. This approach can lead to high turnover rates, low employee engagement, and decreased productivity.

On top of that, employees may be unaware of their own job unhappiness or struggle to articulate their needs and concerns to their employers.  This problem has been amplified in recent years.  Employees used to pop over to their colleagues’ desks. Now they’re remote and hidden behind their screens.

Checking the pulse of workplace is harder than ever.

Afore bridges the gap

Afore bridges this relationship gap between individuals and employers by leveraging AI and behavioural sciences to analyze communications data and provide real-time insights to both parties.  Employees can gain a deeper understanding and self-awareness of themselves in the workplace and to key relationships with co-workers. HR can proactively engage with employees to provide personalized support and nurture their well-being at work. This can include targeted training and development programs, flexible work arrangements, and resources for mental health and wellness.

The benefits are happier and more productive employees and lower attrition all in advance of the problems.
